On Wednesday 20 July, the Future Film Festival\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cSplash Edition – Draw the future<\/strong>” moves to “Frida nel Parco<\/a><\/strong>” ” (Parco della Montagnola), for a new event open to all those who want to draw freely, interpreting the 2022 Future Film Festival\u2019s main topic: the so-called retro-future<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

While the objective of the event is to promote young artists<\/strong> and artisans<\/strong> by offering them an exhibition space, the event is aimed at all citizens who wish to dive in a programme full of new ideas and angles, including retrofuturo<\/em>,<\/strong> a theme that will be at the heart of the next edition of the Future Film Festival.<\/p>\n

After free registration, from 8 PM anyone in possession of paper, pens, nibs or pencils will be able to try their hand at creating their own drawing<\/strong>. The best 5<\/strong> pieces will be selected at the end of the evening. The artists who interpret the theme best will win a drink<\/strong> offered by Frida, also dedicated to the retro-future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Otto Gabos<\/strong> will be leading the contest with his live drawing. Not only is he an artist<\/strong> and storyteller<\/strong> who makes comics, he\u2019s also teaching<\/strong> at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and is the cultural manager of Bologna\u2019s comics and illustration festival \u201cArena!\u201d.<\/p>\n

A Dj Set by Gliesse 581c<\/strong> (aka Francesco Capanni), member of the Radicircuiti<\/strong> group, will be animating the evening as part of an electronic music show created in collaboration with the Conservatorio G.B. Martini<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
