Seven (non-sci-fi) films to understand Artificial Intelligence. Talk by Gianluca Bonanomi. How to combine cinema and artificial intelligence? The obvious answer would be: just talk about science fiction and range from Kubrick to Nolan, passing through the Philip K. Dick who inspired Blade Runner, the recent She by Spike Jonze or the too often misquoted Terminator. And instead Gianluigi Bonanomi's challenge is to start from films that have nothing to do with the sci-fi genre: from Karate Kid to Indiana Jones, from Nothing Left to Do but Cry to Mr Bean, seven films that speak first and foremost of us humans, because we were the ones who invented computers, algorithms, ChatGPT and what's to come.
