From 12 to 15 May 2022, the Future Film Festival is participating in Bologna’s Contemporary Art Show “BOOMing”, a fair dedicated to emerging art, with an exhibition called “Crossing the Future”.

During the fair, produced by Doc Creativity and directed by Simona Gavioli, 21 pieces of art will be exhibited at the Binario Centrale of Bologna’s urban regeneration space, DumBO. Each of them corresponds to an edition of the Festival and were created on commission by different artists every time.

It will be a great opportunity to revisit the past 21 editions. From Alex Pinna and his “Mumble mumble”, a fetus-like Mickey Mouse emerging at the very first edition of the festival, to Antonio Riello and his “UFP – Unidentified Flying Painting”, a 1950s UFO painted in Tiepolo’s style, we’ll see works by artists like Laurina Paperina, Andrew Spradbery, the creative duo Superdeux, DEM, Marina Bolmini, UFO5, Benni Bosetto, Eleuro, Mauro Luccarini, Beto Shibata, Luigi Presicce, Laurence Gartel, Alessandro Ruggeri, Michel Dumontier, Pablo Echaurren, Studio Croma, Kensuke Koike, and of course Igor Imhoff, with his ‘mobile’ and ever-changing piece from 2021.
