Call for Illustrators – BEE SCARY!

2 October 2024

Have you ever imagined a wonderfully monstrous bee?

24FRAME is looking for the scariest bee, which will be the star of the honey label produced with love by Beebo and distributed during this year’s Festival, in line with the event’s theme. We want a bee that, although terrifying, also represents its crucial importance to the ecosystem and to all of our lives. In other words, a bee that’s ugly but essential.

Unleash your creativity and surprise us with your most frightening and captivating vision of the world of bees!

Submission deadline: October 10, 2024
Prize: The winning illustration will be printed on the Festival honey label, and the artist will receive two free passes to access all screenings of the 2024 edition of the 24FRAME Future Film Fest (November 6-10 in Bologna and November 22-24 in Modena) and will be granted access to a guided tour of Beebo’s beehives!

Unveiled the official image of the 24th edition

2 October 2024

The official image of the 24th edition, created by artist Rebecca Michelini, brilliantly follows the central theme of this year’s 24FRAME Future Film Fest: monstrous, evil, bad, or, more simply, different from us.

Rebecca Ganima Michelini (1997) was born in Legnago (VR). She graduated in Painting and Visual Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna. Winner of the Art Up | Critic and Collectors’ Award 2022 by Fondazione Zucchelli. From 2023 to 2024, she has been an atelierista at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice. She has participated in: the group exhibition “La casa nel piatto” (Teatro del Baraccano, Bologna, 2023), Arte Fiera 2023, and the group exhibition “Opentour” (Otto Gallery, 2022). Through a personal reinterpretation of elements from the natural world, Rebecca gives life to new beings and creatures far from everyday life, but deeply and intimately connected to mythology, mass culture, and archetypes within the human mind.
